Seth Moltilal Ji the patriarchal founder of Seth Motilal Group of Academics was informally literate but he envisioned the significance power of education as early as in 1937, when he founded a middle school in Jhunjhunu. This small beginning elevated branch sprouted out of it in 2003, when Shrimati Bhagwati Devi Jhunjhunwala laid the foundation stone of Seth Motilal Law College on July 2003.
              Initially started in the borrowed rooms of the Seth Motilal (P.G.) College, it was shifted to a new building now, known as Shiksha Kendra in the session 2004-05. In the mean while the foundation of Vidhi Bhavan was laid which was exclusively meant for Seth Motilal Law College. The College shifted in Vidhi Bhavan in the session 2007-08.
In a very short span of less of then a decade, Motilal Law College has acquired a benchmark status in the region and neighboring States of Hariyana, Delhi and Punjab on account of very efficacious teacher taught relationship, unique balance of academic and practical learning, interactive sessions of students, teachers and judicial officers, lawyers, occasional symposia, Seminars and Workshops, Moot Courts and Debates on the current socio economic and legal issues and celebrations for legal exponents like Gandhi, Ambedkar and Others. Organization of sports and cultural week and other functions to break through the monotony after the massive dose of legal pills. The College has thus emerged as premier Law College in the region for the aspirants of legal education.
Seth Motilal Law College produce not only the annual crop of law graduates, but we believe in the celebrated edge thet “ignorance of law is no excuse” and so our legal Aid Clinic established on celebrated on 03 Feb. 2009 organizes programs occasionally, for imparting the basic knowledge of law. The Cell remains open from 11.00 to 4.00 PM to resolve the legal problem of the people of the region.
In order to promote research the college publishes its own journal nomenclatures as “Jhunjhunu Journal of Legal Education” since last four years and supply it free of charge on demand. The Journal is received commendably by all concerned.
